Many children go through periods of moodiness, but children with irritability experience severe symptoms that can lead to major problems at home and school. National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) Hosts Facebook Live Event on Childhood Irritability Featuring an NIMH Expert Melissa Brotman, Ph.D., head of the Neuroscience and New Therapeutics Unit of the Intramural Research Program.

During the event, Dr. Brotman will discuss the symptoms of irritability, why it is important to study irritability, NIMH-supported research in this area, and new treatments for severe irritability in youth.
