This year I’m sharing my 2023 Christmas gift guide for kids! We tend to stick to the purchasing strategy of: “Something they want, something they need, something to wear, and something to read.”
Hello friends! Happy Thursday! How are you this week? I’m getting better from the flu and had to cancel my trip to Palm Springs. Both girls are sick too, so it’s been a pretty horrible week. For now, let’s talk about happy things, like retail therapy.
I’m so excited for today’s gift guide because kids really bring magic to Christmas. I’m basically like Buddy the Elf and I thought nothing could make the season more enjoyable…and then we had kids. They simply magnify all the magic of the holidays. We’re doing our Christmas shopping early, so I wanted to share some ideas if you’re doing the same.
When holiday shopping for the kids, we keep things on the simpler side. They get their gifts from Santa and Christmas decorations, and then on our part we stick to “something they want, something they need, something to wear, and something to read.” This checks all the major boxes and keeps things from getting too crazy with gifts from my parents and their other family members. [Another hack: any gifts that aren’t opened in the first couple of days are stocked away in the playroom. I bring them out on a rainy day or when the kids say they’re looking for something to do.]
Today, I’m sharing some of the things on your personal wish lists, along with your tried and true favorites. I’d love to hear your kids’ gift requests in the comments and any ideas you have! I’ll also be sharing my first gift guide for tweens this year.
